Layaway is not available for online purchases. Regular and promotional items can be put on layaway for a maximum of thirty (30) days, provided that payments are made weekly towards the purchase amount. Clearance items cannot be put on layaway. There are no price adjustments on layaways. A deposit equal to 20% Kmart and Sears offer layaway in stores and online. Programs are for eight or 12 weeks and a fee of $5-$10 is charged, except where prohibited by law. The longer period is only for purchases of $300 or more at Kmart and $400 or more at Sears. Payments are biweekly and the down payment is $10, or in some cases, 10%. Walmart Layaway is available in stores during the holiday season, August 30 to December 9.
